Jun 2009 - The ultra-stretch and eco-responsible SPS sleeve takes first prize for innovation at the Packinnove 2009 exhibition

Ceisa Packaging has won first prize for innovation with its ultra-stretch and eco-responsible SPS sleeve at Packinnove 2009. In addition to its unbeaten gloss and stretch (40%) qualities, Ceisa Packaging's SPS solution offers tangible economic and environmental benefits.

SPS lets clients enjoy a cost saving of up to 50% in comparison with a traditional shrink sleeve thanks to its PE base.

Furthermore, SPS has been designed with the environment in mind and ensures a significant reduction in the carbon footprint of its users.

By using an SPS super-stretch solution, our clients can enjoy a 60% to 70% reduction in their carbon footprint compared with the use of a PVC or PET shrink solution thanks to a reduction in the density and size of packaging.

Furthermore, their environmental impact is also reduced with the energy savings made during the application of the sleeve which is completed without heat requirement (unlike shrink sleeves which require heat for shrinking stage). Nor does SPS require the use of glue. Finally, to take the SPS solution's environmental impact even further, Ceisa Packaging has incorporated the use of recycled materials.

It is thanks to all of these good reasons that the SPS super-stretch sleeve is currently enjoying such success.
